Nadine Lustre finally addressed the issue about her leaving Viva Artists Agency in an interview with Nylon Manila.
She highlighted how she gained independence, freedom, and she was able to do what she wanted.
The 27-year-old actress said how she was branded differently, lamenting that people look up to the usual artista, expecting one ot be a saint, which she said, she is not.
"Before, there were so many things that I couldn’t do. I was branded differently, you know, the usual artista where everyone has to look up to you like you’re a saint, which I’m not," said Nadz.
"As soon as I left the agency, I was able to say no to things that I didn't want to do. I was able to say yes to things that they probably wouldn't take me do, but I really wanted to do," said the actress.
However, she also admitted that the job was five times harder than before becasue there is no agency to back you up. She also said that while no one is going to back you up financially, it was still worth it.
"I’m not going to say it’s easier. It’s definitely harder...no one else is going to back you up financially this time. Mas mahirap siya..." said Nadz.
ABS-CBN noted that Lustre decided to “terminate” her contract with Viva, which she was a part of since 2009. Viva filed a lawsuit against the actress in December 2020.
