Mark Anthony Fernandez made some new and controversial revelations during an interview with Gladys Reyes in her program Moments on Net25.
When asked by Gladys about his parenting style, Mark answered that he wants to be a good father but there are situations he cannot control.

“Gusto ko talagang maging good father. Pero yung buong circumstances, parang pakiramdam ko, hindi ko kasalanan yung paghihiwalay namin nung nanay—yung first wife, second wife,” Mark answered.
Mark and Melissa Garcia got married in 2006, but eventually separated in 2016 for reasons that up to now remains undisclosed.
During the interview with Gladys, the actor still refused to disclose, nor provide additional details, as to why they separated.
“For me, sila ang may mali,” the actor said, further adding fuel to speculations with the word “sila” (they) as to what could have transpired and whether there are other parties involved.
Despite the separation, Melissa still has kind words for Mark.
When the actor was arrested due to illegal possession of prohibited substances in 2016, Melissa posted on Facebook saying Mark is a good father to his children.
She also apologized for not being beside the actor during that difficult time.
Mark also met a non-showbiz partner after his separation with his wife, but the couple also separated last year for unknown reasons.

Mark Anthony Lacsamana Fernandez, better known as Mark Anthony Fernandez, is a Filipino actor born on January 18, 1979. He is the son of action star Rudy Fernandez and actress-politician Alma Moreno. He was also known as the former boyfriend of Claudine Barretto. The two became a couple at a very young age and their relationship at the time was considered very controversial. Mark rose to prominence when he became a member of one of the famous showbiz teen groups, "Gwapings" alongside Jomari Yllana, Eric Fructuoso and later with Jao Mapa.

In 2016, Mark was arrested in Pampanga for possession of illegal substances. According to the police, they found a bag containing 1 kilo of marijuana inside the actor’s car. Fernandez said that he uses marijuana to prevent getting cancer.
Recently, the actor appeared in a video conference to promote his new movie "Biyernes Santo" along with the rest of the cast. The cast noticed that the actor seems more handsome than ever and noticed that he was looking particularly trim and fit. Mark explained that he lost 40 pounds after he religiously worked out for around 800 days ever since he got out of jail. Mark also revealed that as an actor he felt that it was necessary to lose weight and that he can expect more job offers when he looks healthy and slim.
