Derek Ramsay recently took to social media to post about defending himself against false allegations and watching out for people he needs to cut off.
"I used to rush to defend myself against false accusations but now I watch to see who believes it, so I know who to cut off first."
Celebrities and netizens reacted to his post and posted their personal opinions on the matter. Derek responded to their comments and explained his thoughts.

The actor responded to actress and singer Vina Morales' opinion that ignoring the accusations and bashers is the best course of action. Vina commented, "Best wag patulan." To which Derek responded "Not making patol. Best. This is how life should be in this toxic world. It's sad that people focus on negativity to the point that it's what makes them happy."
Derek also responded to several netizens who shared their thoughts with the actor. One netizen posted that the actor cannot blame others for his predicament.
"Not being a basher. But you can’t blame other people kasi kaka-break up niyo lang ni Andrea (then) 1 or 2 months kayo na ni Ellen? More than 1 year din kayo ni Andrea ganon lang kabilis mag move on? Popular kang tao natural lang na may sasabihin sila about sa bago mong relationship ngayon. But you know, as long as masaya kayo yun naman ang importante."
The actor agreed with the netizen and calmly replied, "True! I think you'll agree that people can express their opinion in a decent and proper manner just like you did. Thanks for your opinion."
A netizen also compared the actor to Bea Alonzo.
"You know stop defending yourself. Look at Bea with her famous line 'Time is the iltimate truth teller.' Common, time will tell if this is just temporary or for keeps."
Derek firmly answered, "That's Bea dear. I'm not defending myself. This is how I live."
