Bus carrying students falls into ravine; 27 die from fatal crash in Indonesia
- An Indonesian bus that was carrying students and a number of adults plunged into a ravine

- The students and the adults, some of whom were parents of the students on the bus were returning from an excursion

A bus in Indonesia, carrying students with adults, and parents, fell off a ravine in the Island of Java on Wednesday evening. The country's transportation ministry stated that 27 people died from the crash.
On Thursday, the search and rescue agency released a statement saying that the driver of the bus lost control a few moments before the actual crash, which occurred in an area near the Sumedang City in West Java province.
GMA News reported that the ministry of transportation of Indonesia stated that the bus was carrying parents and junior high school students.
There were 39 people who survived the fatal crash.
A number of photos from the crash showed that the bus ended on its side. Rescue workers tried to search for more victims.
A local search and rescue agency revealed that the evacuations carried out later were completed and the crash survivors were brought to the hospital.
Road accidents are among the worst things that could happen, especially when the vehicle involved carry many passengers. There are instances when the passengers are students or the elderly. There are also cases when those who are involved in the accident are prominent personalities such as celebrities or politicians. The bus plunged into a ravine, this time around in the Sukabumi region. It took the lives of 21 people. The bus was carrying tourists.
