A Pinay hotel receptionist who went missing in Abu Dhabi last year was found dead, with the body already in the advanced stage of decomposition.
DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III, in a virtual press conference, revealed that the remains of the victim, Mary Anne Daynolo, was already been repatriated back to the Philippines.
Her remains were found in January and the Ugandan suspect also admitted to killing her, reported GMA News.
"Itong January lang, may nakitang advanced stage of decomposition na labi ng isang tao na sa tingin nila ay labi ni Mary Anne Daynolo," said Bello.
In Philstar's report, Bello also signified that they will be running after the two other accomplices of the suspect who also helped in hiding the body of the victim.
OFWs work in order to provide for their families. Many of them would sacrifice so much just to ensure that they provide for their families really well. Not everyone is lucky because some end up with abusive employers.
Those who are able to find kind employers often last with their respective employers for years. There are instances when they are treated so well, their employers would give them a better position in the household.
An OFW experienced being brought by her employer to foreign destinations and her employer would even shop for her. She is very lucky that she was able to provide for her family, while being under the home of a kind employer.
OFWs in other countries are confronted with uncertainties daily, including those concerning their safety. Aside from Filipinos working in domestic capacity, there are other OFWs in foreign countries working as frontliners, who put their lives on the line.
