Jose Manalo revealed that he had a heart-to-heart talk with son Benj Manalo before his wedding with Lovely Abella, and the comedian offered him some marriage advice.

On Wednesday, January 27, Jose had a chance to talk about his son’s recent marriage at a virtual media conference. According to the “Catch Me Out Philippines” host, Benj called him days before his wedding to ask for his blessing.
Jose shared that he knows that his son already knows what to do in this new phase of his life, considering that, as a father, he has bombarded him with advice ever since.
He also expressed his respect for his son’s determination to prove himself.
“Kilala ko na 'yang si Benj. Siya 'yung taong may gustong patunayan sa sarili niya na ito ang kaya ko, which is niri-respeto ko.
“Sinabi ko sa kanya, 'Pumasok ka sa ganyang buhay kaya alam ko na alam mo 'yung decision mo.'”

For Jose, the most important advice that he could give his son is to never give up on his family.
"Never na never ka gi-give up kung wala namang masamang dahilan,” he told the press.
“Kung masasalba mo ang asawa mo at pamilya mo, kailangan ituloy-tuloy mo 'yan. Sa tingin ko mas masarap mag mahal kaysa mahalin. Mas masarap mag-serve kaysa pagsilbihan ka.”
Jose added that he prays that his son will have longer patience.
When it comes to his daughter-in-law, Lovely, the TV host said that he knows that she is a good person, a genuine one.
