Gretchen Ho recently took to social media to air her gratitude to ABS-CBN after deciding to move to TV5.
In a lengthy Instagram post, she recollected how the said network helped her career from being a volleyball player, to being a host, to being a news person.
“I have been working with ABS-CBN for a good 7-8 years, but as a UAAP athlete I consider my tenure so much longer than that.
I have nothing but gratitude for the network that helped our sport grow leaps and bounds, in the same way that they have helped me grow from being an athlete, to being a host, to being a news person.
Malaki ang pasasalamat ko sa lahat ng nagtiwala at nakasama sa aking ABS-CBN journey.”
As she bids goodbye to the Kapamilya network, Gretchen aired her excitement about working with Cignal and TV5.

Gretchen Ho is a television host and former volleyball player in the Philippines. She played volleyball for the Ateneo Lady Eagles from 2008 to 2013. Her popularity rose when she became a co-host on Umagang Kay Ganda, TV Patrol, and The Score.
Just recently, Gretchen underwent Lasik eye surgery at the Asian Eye Institute to improve her vision. She got motivated to undergo the operation because her mother also had Lasik surgery and it was a success. The operation was successful and her vision was restored to 20/20 from 626/600.
She also went viral online months ago due to her friendship with Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto. Many netizens commented that Gretchen and Vico seem to be a good fit for each other.
