- She said that Brightlight has been struggling with money matters and yet it was able to give Christmas bonuses to its employees
- Accordingly, she claimed that Albee Benitez, the owner of Brightlight, paid a higher talent fee to Piolo Pascual and Maja Salvador as compared to the one that they received from ABS-CBN before
- She also stated that with their setup, Benitez had no protection of any sort

Showbiz columnist Lolist Solis took to Instagram and expressed her thoughts with regards to the recent issue between Brightlight Productions and Direk Johnny Manahan.
In a lengthy post, she said that Brightlight Productions was struggling with financial issues.
She also said that the company was shelling out too much money and she added that what hurts allegedly for Benitez was that he learned that the talent fee that Piolo Pascual and Maja Salvador received from ABS-CBN was lower compared to what they were receiving from Brightlight.
She said, "In this case, I think si Papa Albee has all the right to decide, pera niya ang umaandar."

According to Lolit, it is lamentable that a lot of popular celebrities got tagged in this controversy. She also speculated how the top actor’s wife would react if the rumor turned out to be true.
Lolit Solis penned a commentary on the cancellation of ‘Sunday Noontime Live’ and ‘Sunday Kada.’ She pointed out that there were too many cast members in both shows - Likewise, she said that the production cost might have gotten too high to sustain. The popular commentator is hoping that TV5 has learned its lesson from these shows.
