The daughter of Efren “Bata” Reyes has responded to several baseless information that are circulating on social media regarding the well-known Filipino billiards legend.
KAMI learned that there were netizens who got surprised recently after seeing a few viral posts that said, “Rest in peace, Efren Reyes.”
In response, his daughter named Chelo Reyes uploaded a video of the said athlete watching a game in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Efren was heard shouting the words, “Okay lang ako” and even waiving his hand to falsify the claim that he is already dead.
In the caption of the said post, Chelo stated that God will be the one who will punish all the people who spread false news in the online world.
She even put the words, “Di nakakatuwa” as the hashtag of her Facebook post.
“Sa mga nagsshare at nakakabasa ng mga lumalabas na balitang patay na si tatay, huwag po kayo maniwala, FAKE NEWS lang po yan,” she wrote.
“Diyos na bahala sa inyong nagpapakalat ng ganyang balita,” she added.
Efren “Bata” Reyes is one of the most known Filipino athletes in the world. He is a four-time World Eight-ball champion and a three-time U.S. Open winner.
