Anthony Taberna proudly shared a family photo in which his leukemia warrior daughter, Zoey, can be seen with grown hair.

On January 3, broadcast journalist Anthony Taberna shared on Instagram a photo of his family, including his wife Rossel and daughters Zoey and Helga.
What made Ka Tunying prouder of his family photo is showing first-born Zoey with hair that has finally grown back. It can be remembered that the 12-year old girl has been battling leukemia, and needed to have her hair shaved last December.
Now, Anthony is proud that his daughter can finally be seen publicly without wearing a bonnet, hair extension, or wig.
“Walang bonnet. Walang hair extension. Walang wig. Ito na ang totoong buhok ni Zoey.”
For him, her hair may grow slowly but it is already good enough to start the new year positively. He also cheered his daughter up.
“Medyo mabagal tumubo pero magandang umpisa ng Bagong Taon. Go go go Zoey!!! Wag ka na malulungkot ulit sa buhok mo ha? We are Familia Taberna and we’re #TeamStrong!”

Zoey was featured in “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” (KMJS) last December after it was revealed that she has been battling cancer for a year already.
The Taberna family was silent about the girl’s illness since they wanted to give Zoey the privacy she needed. However, on the anniversary of her cancer discovery, Anthony revealed that it was the girl who decided to share the video and photos of her getting shaved.
“Pero nu'ng anniversary na na-diagnose siya ng leukemia, si Zoey mismo 'yung nag-post nu'ng kanyang picture na kinalbo siya,” Anthony told KMJS.

Anthony Taberna, more commonly known as Ka Tunying, is a Filipino radio commentator and broadcast journalist. Before he left ABS-CBN due to the franchise issue, he was part of its morning show, “Umagang Kay Ganda”.
Aside from the revelation of Zoey’s battle with leukemia, Anthony and his family trended again before 2020 ended when they found out that they were betrayed by someone they trusted in their business.
