Jay R and Kyla revealed that they had a crush on each other for a while when they began working together.

The music partners made the confession on December 14, Monday, while guesting on the morning talk show, “Magandang Buhay”. The two reminisced about how their friendship started.
According to the RnB Prince, when he moved to the Philippines, he was in a long-term relationship already. Therefore, when he met Kyla, he could not pursue anything beyond friendship with her.
"You know siyempre habang kapag nagkikita kami sa trabaho at parang naging idol ko na rin si Ky, medyo you know I was a little bit having a crush, but I couldn't,"
He also added that he respected Kyla as a friend, and of course, his girlfriend at that time. Yet, he assured that he had a crush on the diva in the beginning.

For her part, Kyla admitted having a crush on Jay R for a short time.
According to her, it would be hurtful to say that she did not have any feelings for the singer at all. Jay R is also likable, she said. She revealed that it was amusing for her to find someone whose voice can jive with hers. However, she said that she was still in the right mind so she could not continue liking him.
"Nagkaroon din naman pero only for a very short time, kasi nasa tamang pag-iisip din ako. Kasi alam ko rin naman na (taken)."
Recently, the two singers made headlines when speculations that they became a couple went viral. According to them, many of their fans assume that they had a real-life romance in the past.
The two, who are promoting their newest song, “Undeniable”, revealed that they had their fans in mind for their newest collaboration.
The song, which Jay R and Kyla co-wrote, is a story about two friends who secretly liked each other. Many immediately assumed that it is the story between the two popular singers.

Jay R and Kyla are popularly known as the RnB Prince and Princess of the Philippines. Their tandem started in GMA-7’s Sunday noontime variety show, “SOP”. Then, they both moved to ABS-CBN.
