The Taal Volcano is a hot topic again on social media after a video of the said volcano letting out steam surfaced online.

KAMI learned that the video was taken by Kisha Alexis and uploaded on the Facebook page of CNN Philippines.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), Taal Volcano is under Alert Level 1

This means that the volcano can cause steam-driven explosions, volcanic earthquakes, and minor ashfall.

The Taal Volcano is a famous volcano located in the province of Batangas and is the second most active volcano in the Philippines, with 34 recorded eruptions.

Angel Locsin went viral several months ago after she started helping out victims of the eruption of Taal Volcano. She asked about what was needed by the victims and after which, she was tagged as the real-life Darna.

Another celebrity that provided help during the Taal eruption months ago was Heart Evangelista. She joined a team that focused on rescuing animals stranded near the volcano.
