KAMI learned that Andi and her partner, Philmar Alipayo, did a Q&A in the brand new episode.

Philmar was asked if it is difficult to be in a relationship with a celebrity and he answered in the affirmative.

According to the professional surfer, the difficulty arises from netizens bashing his appearance and social status.

“Yes. Because people will come to me, bashing me. Walang taong pangit. Pangit lang yung ugali,” Philmar answered.

Andi also expressed her frustration with the mentality of some Filipinos who look down on the darker skin of Filipinos and the social status of people who live in the province.

“Bakit yung Pilipino sa tingin nila yung itsura ng Pilipino ay pangit like my partner is maitim?

“Hello? That’s a nice tan. He has nice skin.

“I didn’t expect that. That people would be saying negative things to Philmar just because of his skin color and also because he’s from the province.

“I hope that Filipinos would get rid of the mentality that if you’re from the province, you’re not successful. That they are inferior to the people who are finding jobs in cities.

“There are people who feel like life is better for them staying on an island. Like me and Philmar,” Andi said.

Andi Eigenmann is a Filipina actress and model. She is the daughter of actors Mark Gil and Jaclyn Jose, and is a half-sister of actors Sid Lucero, Gabby Eigenmann and Max Eigenmann.
