COVID-19 patient dies after jumping out of third floor window in Cebu hospital
- A COVID-19 patient died on Tuesday, June 9, after he jumped out of the window of a hospital in Cebu
- The only detail that was released as to the identity of the victim was that he was a 48-year-old male
- He was brought to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center after he tested positive for COVID-19
- Reports indicated that Major Elisandro Quijano came to the scene of the incident but was barred from entering the premises because the victim was positive for coronavirus

In a twisted turn of events, a 48-year-old COVID-19 patient jumped out of the window from the third-floor of Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC).
It happened along B. Rodriguez Street at around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, as per Inquirer.
The name of the victim was also not disclosed and the only thing revealed to the public was his age and that he was a male patient.

Major Elisandro Quijano, chief of the Abellana Police Station, stated that police investigators responded to the scene immediately. However, they were not allowed to enter the premises because the victim was a COVID-19 positive.
VSMMC is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the patient's death.
