Alex Gonzaga countered a netizen who wrote a controversial comment on her social media post where she shared her desire for the leaders to use all calamity funds in these trying times.

KAMI learned from Fashion Pulis scoop that a netizen alleged that Alex’s family is close to the Marcoses.

“Lord please touch all our leaders/authorities to use all our calamity funds for the people. In this time, wala na sana matempt magtago for personal interest. People are dying and sacrificing their lives. This is our prayer,” the Kapamilya actress and vlogger tweeted.

Shortly after posting, a Twitter user told Alex to forward her prayer to the Marcoses since her family is close to them.

“Hi @Mscathygonzaga close family nyo sa Marcoses, right? Kindly forward your prayer to them too. Thanks,” the netizen stated.

She then replied, “Kilala, yes 'coz of our in law. Close? Hindi.”

In October 2015, Manila Bulletin posted a photo of Alex’s sister Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano showing their support for 2016 polls vice presidential candidate, Senator Bongbong Marcos.

In June 2015, Toni and Paul tied the knot in a star-studded wedding ceremony attended by prominent personalities in showbiz and politics, including Sen. Bongbong as their godfather who is said to be connected with Paul’s family.

The senator even penned his best wishes to the couple in a Facebook post.

“To our inaanak, Paul and Tin, best wishes for a lifetime of love and happiness together. May God bless you both as you begin your journey of marriage and family life. Mabuhay ang bagong kasal!” he said.
