Christopher de Leon made headlines when he confirmed that he tested positive for COVID-19.
KAMI learned that Mariel de Leon, a daughter of Christopher, opened up on social media about her father’s ordeal.
Mariel tweeted that Christopher probably got the virus while working since he is exposed to lots of people.
She also revealed that her father had to wait for many hours to get tested because of the lack of testing kits.
Boyet’s daughter added that her family got concerned for her mother, Sandy Andolong, since she is immunocompromised.
“My dad works a lot (events, tapings, shooting) so he’s always exposed to many people. Before he got tested, he was sick and decided to quarantine himself in the house. After it persisted, he decided to go to the doctors to take the test,” Mariel tweeted.
“Like everyone else there, he had to wait hours in line because they ran out of tests that morning/afternoon so they had to wait longer. He was more worried for my mom because she is a kidney transplant patient (among other health issues),” she revealed.
“She’s not healthy and she is definitely immunocompromised. Also, they live with other elders including my lola. So idk maybe don’t assume things without confirming first?” Boyet’s daughter posted.

GMA News’ 24 Oras reported that Christopher’s wife, Sandy Andolong, gave an update on her husband’s condition, saying that he is feeling well despite having the virus.
Christopher de Leon is a veteran actor, considered as one of the best in the Philippines. He is currently one of the cast members of the Kapamilya drama series entitled “Love Thy Woman.”
