Davao del Norte police warn citizens of jail time if they violate curfew hours

- The Kapalong Police in Davao del Norte warned its citizens of curfew hours (9 p.m.- 5 a.m.)

- According to the municipality’s Executive Order No. 14, those who violate the curfew hours will face imprisonment

- The Kapalong PNP shared a photo of those inside the jail cell to urge its citizens to stay at home

The Kapalong Philippine National Police (PNP) in Davao del Norte warned its citizens of the curfew hours as the country fights against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

KAMI learned that in Davao del Norte, the municipality’s Executive Order no. 14 states that those who violate the curfew hours (9 p.m.- 5 a.m.) will face imprisonment.

The Kapalong PNP shared a photo of citizens in a jail cell holding a sign that read: “Stay at home or stay with us.”

According to a report by Manila Bulletin (authored by Antonio Colina IV), the Davao City confirmed 2 cases of coronavirus disease in the region.

The patients were identified as PH262 and PH263. Both are aged 47 and they arrived in Davao from Manila on March 6.

As reported by the Philippine News Agency, the first confirmed COVID-19 case in Davao Region has recovered and has been discharged from Davao Regional Medical Center.

Identified as PH130, the patient was already sent home to her family in Davao de Oro. She is a 21-year-old female who arrived in the country from the United Kingdom on February 29.

On March 19, Davao Mayor Sara Duterte has placed the Davao Region under lockdown for 14 days to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the area.

The Department of Health (DOH) has just announced that the total COVID-19 cases in the country just increased to 501. Meanwhile, 19 of the patients have recovered.
