Lea Salonga took to social media to express her thoughts on the COVID-19 concerns in the country.

KAMI learned that Lea re-posted a quote that criticizes the people who are complaining about the Luzon community lockdown.

“To those who are complaining about the quarantine period and curfews, just remember that your grandparents were called to war; you are being called to sit on the couch and watch Netflix. You can do this,” Lea posted on Instagram.

Her post caught the attention of filmmaker Jay Altarejos, who accused her of being narrow-minded.

The director argued that not every Filipino affected by the lockdown can have a comfortable time at home since many people need to work every day to provide the needs of their families.
