Matteo Guidicelli's cousin, Marie Irisha Arcenas shared a picture of the newlywed couple through her Instagram Story. After the news about the couple's civil wedding controversy broke, Marie Irisha or Mia took to Instagram to greet her cousin and his wife.

Mia was a Binibining Pilipinas 2012 candidate and a fashion and accessories designer. In a 2012 interview, Mia revealed that she and Matteo had a special bond because they are of the same age range and they have been playmates.

In her Instagram Story, Mia shared a picture of her with Matteo. "Love truly endures all. Congratulations Matts and Sarah."
