Marcelito Pomoy admits to not receiving cash prize as 3rd runner up on AGT

Marcelito Pomoy gave an interview about his experience as a finalist on “America’s Got Talent.”
ABS-CBN News reporter MJ Felipe asked Marcelito about his earnings as 3rd runner up on the popular international show.
“Ngayong 3rd runner up ka, may premyo ka bang nakuha?” MJ asked Marcelito.
According to Marcelito, he did not receive a single penny from being 3rd runner up in the competition and only the grand champion receives a monetary prize.
However, he said that the real prize for him is becoming noticed by the international audience and getting gigs in different countries because of his AGT performances.
“Wala talagang premyo yan. Champion lang talaga.
“Okay lang. Kung anong ibigay sa akin ng show, tanggap ko naman.
“Sa ngayon kasi, kahit third place ako, makatungtong ka lang sa ‘America’s Got Talent,’ malaking factor na sa ‘yo ‘yan, e, kasi all over the world ang nakakakilala sa ‘yo,” he explained.
