Daniel Padilla recently opened up about his initial reaction when Alden Richards was chosen to be paired with Kathryn Bernardo for the movie Hello, Love, Goodbye.
In an episode of Tonight with Boy Abunda, the Mabagal singer was asked about his reaction to the new pairing. He directly answered that he thought of how people will accept it.
"Syempre, no'ng nabanggit, isip. 'Anong mangyayari?', 'Paano tatanggapin ito?'"
"At syempre, para protektahan si Kathryn. Kailangan mo rin talaga ibigay tiwala mo, e. Kailangan mo ibigay tiwala mo sa nakaisip ng pagsasama na 'yon."
He also shared what happened the first time he met Alden.
"Bumisita ako no'ng last day ni Kathryn. Hinatid ko siya sa set tapos nandoon siya [Alden]."
"Nag hello and goodbye," he said, laughing.
