Hollywood actress Vanessa Hudgens has recently shared a touching message for her Pinay mother.
KAMI learned that her mother, Gina Guangco, celebrated her birthday on Tuesday.
Through an Instagram post, Hudgens expressed her love for her mom and referred to mama Gina as her number 1 fan.
“Happy birthday to @mamagh. My favorite fiery, passionate, joyous woman,” she wrote in her caption.
“She’s my No. 1 fan and I’m hers. Love you for everything you do and are mommy,” the actress added.
In an interview with Philippine Star (author Nathalie Tomada), Hudgens shared that she was able to eat lots of Filipino food through her mother.
The actress said that she already tried eating puto bumbong and that halo-halo is her favorite.
“I got it at Goldilocks, a little restaurant here in California. My mom got it for me and she was like, ‘You need to try this honey,’” Hudgens said.
“Halo-halo is my favorite. And because it’s white and refreshing and delicious,” she added.
Aside from trying Filipino desserts, the actress also mentioned having Christmas dinners or Noche Buena.
“Definitely, I had the Christmas dinners. Like, we have lumpia, pancit, adobo and pandesal. I love pandesal so much, especially when it’s warm. Ah, so good!” Hudgens said.
The Hollywood star said that she is coming to the Philippines “soon.”
“I am. I’m going to go. Yeah, I really, really, really want to go. It’s on my to-do list. I’m coming. I’m coming soon!” she said.
Born on December 14, 1988, Vanessa Anne Hudgens is a Filipino-American singer and actress. She became popular as “Gabriella Montez” in Disney’s High School Musical film series.
