A vehicle rammed into a street crowd in Vancouver, Canada, killing and injuring several people.
The tragic incident happened around 8:00 PM today during a street festival at E. 41st Avenue and Fraser, according to Vancouver Police.
It took place during the Filipino street festival in the western Canadian city known as the Lapu-Lapu Day Block Party.
On X, Vancouver Police confirmed that "A number of people have been killed and multiple others are injured..."

"A number of people have been killed and multiple others are injured after a driver drove into a crowd at a street festival at E. 41st Avenue and Fraser shortly after 8 p.m. tonight. The driver is in custody. We will provide more information as the investigation unfolds," Vancouver Police wrote on X.
Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney wrote on X, “I am devastated to hear about the horrific events at the Lapu Lapu festival in Vancouver earlier this evening.”
Additionally, the Vancouver Sun said there were thousands of people in the area when the incident happened.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
