His family announced the heartbreaking news to the world through a post on his personal Instagram account.
Foreman was a two-time heavyweight champion and an Olympic gold medalist.

George Foreman is a former American boxer, Olympic gold medalist, and two-time world heavyweight champion, known for his powerful punches and historic fights, including his 1974 loss to Muhammad Ali in the "Rumble in the Jungle."
After retiring in 1977, he made a stunning comeback in the late 1980s and became the oldest heavyweight champion in history at age 45 by defeating Michael Moorer in 1994. Beyond boxing, Foreman built a successful business empire, most notably with the George Foreman Grill, and is also a minister, author, and motivational speaker.
