TikTok content creator Marlena Velez was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at a popular shopping center.
In a report shared by GMA News on Facebook, Cape Coral Police reported that Velez used fake barcodes to reduce the total price of her items.
The creator, who has over 400,000 followers, is accused of stealing $500 worth of groceries.
The store's loss prevention team contacted the police and shared the suspect's photo online, leading an anonymous tipster to identify her as Velez.

It so happened that Velez's shirt on the day of her TikTok video, which has been deleted since when she went shopping, matched the shirt of the alleged suspect captured by the store's CCTV.
