“Walking around barefoot, not taking care of cleaning things, putting things in the toilet that didn’t belong there – and the victim called him out on it,” DA Wagstaffe said in an interview over KTVU Fox 2.

When Yanga left the gym to go home, he didn’t know he was already being followed by the suspect in a car, which investigators say was being driven by Afridi’s 50-year-old mom, Zaib Un Nisa Afridi.

DA Wagstaffe said that the suspect waited till he was within fifteen feet of the suspect and fired, causing the victim to go down, after which Afridi pumped more bullets into the victim at close range.

Yanga died after sustaining eight bullet wounds.

“It’s an execution murder,” DA Wagstaffe said.
“Gets within 15 feet of him and opens fire on him, hitting the victim. The victim went down. And the suspect then walked up to him and pumped some additional rounds into him at point-blank range,” the San Mateo District Attorney added.

Authorities have filed murder charges against the suspect and also charged his mother as accessory to the crime.
