The Houthi group, also known as Ansar Allah, is a political and armed movement based in Yemen, made up mostly of Shia Muslims from the Zaidi sect.

They rose to power in 2014 after seizing Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, which led to a civil war involving a Saudi-led coalition.

The group has been linked to missile and drone attacks, including those in the Red Sea, which they claim are protests against Israel and its allies.

In a previous report by KAMI, a cargo ship was attacked and sunk by suspected members of the Houthi group, according to a report. In an article written by PhilSTAR Life, four people were confirmed dead while 14 others remain missing and are still being searched for. The ship sank in the Red Sea on Wednesday, where rescuers were able to save seven crew members who were found alive. The report also stated that four out of the 25 people on board the Eternity C cargo ship died before the remaining crew members were able to abandon the vessel.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
