In a report and video shared by GMA Integrated News, firefighters rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire.
The jets were crushed into parts, which were scattered in different areas.
"The two pilots, as well as a third who was a passenger on board one of the planes, were able to eject and are safe," said SÉBASTIEN LECORNU, French Minister of the Armed Forces.
Nobody died from the accident; however, 2 of its victims were declared to be in "relative emergency" while one suffered from multi-trauma.
Investigations are still ongoing about the cause of the jet crash.
Generally speaking, responsibility for a mid-air collision between two military jets without casualties would depend on the investigation findings, considering factors such as pilot error, air traffic control instructions, mechanical failure, or miscommunication.
The blame could fall on one or both pilots if they failed to follow flight protocols, on ground control if improper instructions were given, or even on maintenance crews if a mechanical issue contributed to the crash.
Military investigations would determine accountability based on flight data, cockpit recordings, and witness reports, with possible disciplinary actions or policy changes to prevent future incidents.
