DJ Koo is keeping the memory of his "eternal love" alive through a series of touching tributes. On February 2, the South Korean artist took to Instagram to share a lengthy handwritten letter dedicated to his late wife, the famous Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu.

Previously, the BBC reported that Barbie passed away on February 2, 2025 due to complications from acute pneumonia. The actress was only 48 years old.

In the letter, which began with the words "To my eternal love, my everything, Xiyuan," Koo gave fans a glimpse into his daily life without her.
According to the translation by Allkpop, he wrote, "How are you there? Is it cold? Is it hot? I worry about you all the time." He admitted that the empty space she left behind is still painful, sharing, "When I sit absentmindedly on one corner of the bed in the empty room, I still don't know if this is reality or a dream."

On the same day as the post, a special ceremony was held at Jinbao Mountain Memorial Park in New Taipei City to unveil a memorial sculpture dedicated to Barbie, according to the report of The Straits Time.
The piece, which depicts a young girl with her hand over her chest, was personally designed and produced by Koo to evoke a sense of serenity. He was joined at the ceremony by Barbie’s younger sister, Dee Hsu, and other high-profile friends.
The couple’s relationship was often described by fans as a real-life fairytale. After dating in 1998 and parting ways, they famously reunited more than 20 years later and married in 2022.

Even in her absence, Koo continues to visit her resting place, sharing that "tears flow endlessly" whenever he packs food and drives to the mountain to be near her.
