A Chinese woman, identified only by her surname Zhou, was rescued after being trapped for 30 hours inside a locked room in a guesthouse in Sichuan province.
Zhou had gone inside the bedroom without her phone when she realized the lock was malfunctioning and she could not get out.
The room, located on the sixth floor, had no food, water, or toilet, which left her desperate.
Out of options, Zhou bit her finger and used her blood to write “110 625” on a pillow before throwing it out the window.

The number 110 is China’s emergency hotline, while 625 was the room number where she was trapped.
Luckily, food delivery driver Zhang Kun spotted the pillow and immediately alerted the police.
Zhang admitted he was nervous at first but knew it was a distress call when he saw the emergency number written on the pillow. Police quickly arrived and broke open the door, freeing Zhou after her ordeal.
Videos shared online showed Zhou looking shaken but relieved as she thanked the officers who rescued her.
She told them she had been inside since the previous morning and endured one day and one night without help.
Authorities later commended Zhang for his quick thinking and bravery, rewarding him with 3,000 yuan (about P23,900) for playing a key role in saving Zhou’s life.
