It was earlier reported that the aircraft had 242 people on board when it crashed just moments after takeoff.
Initial reports stated that officials believed there were no survivors among the 242 people.
"It appears there are no survivors in the plane crash,” G.S. Malik, police commissioner for Ahmedabad, told The Associated Press. “Some locals would have also died.”

However, in the latest updates, one lone survivor has been confirmed from the tragic incident, identified as Ramesh Viswashkumar.
Viswashkumar was the only reported survivor from the crash, which killed 241 people on board the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
According to the authorities, he was seated near an emergency exit of the place that was bound for London.
However, it was not yet clear how he survived.
A photo of Viswashkumar's boarding pass was shown online by the Hindustan Times. It showed that the lone survivor was seated in seat 11A of the plane bound for Gatwick Airport.
"When I got up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran. There were pieces of the plane all around me. Someone grabbed hold of me and put me in an ambulance and brought me to the hospital," Viswashkumar told the Hindustan Times.
