Based on details published by ETToday, Jiaqi had shown unusual physical signs in the days leading up to his death. Friends noticed that his lips had developed a purplish discoloration, which raised concern after photos surfaced on social media. Despite these visible symptoms, he continued communicating with friends and appeared to be making normal plans shortly before his passing.
Bi Jiaqi was based in Ningbo, a city in eastern China, and had built a strong following on Weibo, where he regularly posted gym photos, training clips, and lifestyle content centered on bodybuilding. His posts often highlighted his disciplined workout habits and physical transformation, earning him recognition among local fitness enthusiasts.
According to ETToday, Jiaqi had recently reached a personal milestone after buying a new home. He had reportedly been looking forward to celebrating the purchase with close friends following an upcoming bodybuilding competition. Those plans, however, were never realized due to his sudden death.

The outlet also cited images shared by one of Jiaqi’s friends that were taken just days before he died. In one photo, the influencer was seen sitting at a mahjong table but appeared visibly fatigued and slouched in his chair. Observers noted that his lips looked distinctly purple in the image, a detail that later drew widespread attention after news of his death broke.
Earlier in January, Jiaqi himself posted a photo that drew engagement from his followers after he humorously compared his swollen head to a “steamed bun,” as reported by ETToday. At the time, the caption was taken as a joke, but in hindsight, some netizens have speculated whether it may have hinted at underlying health issues.
Despite the concerning signs, Jiaqi remained socially active. ETToday reported that he was still messaging friends the night before he died and was actively discussing plans for a housewarming gathering in the near future. Because of this, news of his passing came as an unexpected blow to those close to him.
As of now, no further official details about the exact cause of death have been publicly confirmed. Online tributes have begun appearing from followers and fellow fitness enthusiasts, many expressing disbelief and sadness over the sudden loss of a young athlete who appeared to be at the peak of his fitness journey.
Bi Jiaqi is not the only well-known international figure to have recently passed, as reports have also highlighted the deaths of other prominent personalities.
