“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the bereaved family wrote in a statement posted on social media.

“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” they added.

While the cause of death was not disclosed, the singer had been dealing with various health complications, including a Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2019, BBC reported.

Osbourne’s death came just weeks after a farewell concert with fellow original Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi, Terence “Geezer” Butler and Bill Ward. The show took place last July 5 at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham, England, as per Sky News.

Osbourne is survived by wife Sharon, daughters Kelly and Aimee, and son Jack, in addition to daughter Jessica, and sons Elliot and Louis from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.
