American singer Connie Francis, known for her chart-topping hits like “Pretty Little Baby” and “Stupid Cupid,” has died. She was 87 years old.

Francis’ longtime friend Ron Roberts, president of Concetta Records – the music label wholly owned by the iconic pop singer – announced the news in a Facebook post on Thursday (Philippine time).
“It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that i inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night,” Roberts wrote.
“I know that Connie would approve that her fans are among the first to learn of this sad news,” he added.

Just weeks before her passing, Francis openly shared her health struggles with fans through heartfelt Facebook posts.
In late June, she revealed that she had undergone a series of tests to determine the cause of persistent pelvic pain on her right side.
By July 3, she updated fans that she had been moved to a private hospital room after spending time in intensive care for further examinations.
A day later, on July 4, she offered a more positive message, saying she was “feeling much better after a good night,” bringing hope to supporters around the world.
Connie Francis was known for her songs in the '50s and '60s. Remarkably, her 1962 single “Pretty Little Baby” experienced a resurgence over 60 years later, going viral on TikTok and bringing her timeless sound to a new generation of listeners. The late legendary pop singer is survived by her son.
