During a high-stakes clash against Kingsley Ibeh at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, January 31, 2026, Miller provided fans with a viral moment that ringside announcers described as "something out of a cartoon."
The surreal scene unfolded in the second round when Ibeh pinned Miller against the ropes, unleashing a flurry of shots.
A sharp right uppercut snapped Miller’s head back, causing his hairpiece to peel away from his scalp and flap precariously in the air.

DAZN commentator Chris Mannix, clearly stunned, remarked to viewers, "I’ve seen a lot in boxing, but I’ve never seen that."
As the wig bobbed with every punch Miller absorbed, another announcer joked, "It’s like a cartoon! He’s getting the hair knocked off his head!"
Despite the wardrobe malfunction, Miller finished the round with the piece still partially attached, much to the amusement of the capacity crowd.
Rather than hiding in embarrassment, the 37-year-old veteran leaned into the comedy. Before the start of the third round, Miller ripped the hairpiece off entirely, waved it triumphantly like a trophy, and tossed it into the front row.
It reportedly landed near fellow boxer Fabio Wardley, while others at ringside posed for photos with the now-famous "mane."
In a post-fight interview that was as entertaining as the bout, Miller explained the gro0ming catastrophe that led to the wig.
"I went to my mama's house and saw some shampoo bottles on the table," Miller laughed. "I shampooed, but that stuff was ammonium bleach. I literally lost my hair two days ago."

Desperate for a solution, his manager secured the emergency toupee just hours before the fight. "I’m a comedian; you’ve got to make fun of yourself," Miller added.
The distraction did not hinder Miller's performance. He maintained his aggression throughout the ten-round contest, eventually securing a narrow split-decision victory with scores of 97-93, 97-93, and 94-96.
While the win keeps him relevant in the heavyweight rankings, his "wig-snatching" highlight has cemented his status as one of boxing's most colorful characters.
In other news, investigators have confirmed that the slaying of a policewoman and her child was a premeditated act triggered by a ₱1.1 million ghost car transaction and a ₱550,000 embezzlement. To avoid leaving forensic evidence, the perpetrators reportedly lined their home with plastic sheeting before fatally shooting the mother and using a plastic bag to asphyxiate her young son. The accused couple—a car sales agent and her husband, a former police officer—shockingly had their own children present while they transported and abandoned the remains in separate provinces. The victim’s estranged husband has come under scrutiny as a person of interest after he bypassed standard police procedures by pushing for an immediate cremation of the bodies.

Still in other news, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued show-cause orders to two drivers involved in a widely shared video showing a violent physical confrontation in Cainta, Rizal. What began as a minor lane-merging disagreement quickly spiraled into a full-scale fistfight that paralyz3d local traffic and endangered nearby commuters. During the heat of the brawl, one motorist brandished a baseball bat, which was subsequently wrestled away by the other participant as the fight intensified. Beyond the threat of criminal charges, the LTO has placed both motorists’ licenses under suspension and noted that one of the vehicles involved was operating with an expired registration.
