NLEX Road Warriors and former Ateneo Blue Eagles player Kiefer Ravena finally spoke about the question, “Who’s the better Ravena?” in basketball, or at least in the UAAP Men’s basketball. KAMI learned that Kiefer is happy to share it with his younger brother Thirdy Ravena who is currently playing for the Ateneo Blue Eagles.

“As with who's the better Ravena, I'm happy to share it with him. Kaya naman na kaming dalawa parehas,” Kiefer said as reported by ABS-CBN News.

“For now, siguro na hindi ako naglalaro, bigay muna natin sa kanya,” he added.

In a recent report by KAMI, the Blue Eagles got their back-to-back UAAP championship title on Wednesday against the UP Fighting Maroons. Thirdy was awarded as the Finals MVP as he hit his career-high 38 points.

During the time of Kiefer in UAAP, he was able to bag two UAAP championship title and two UAAP MVP award. Just like Thirdy, he also had a career-high 38 points in his season.

“Kanina, I was praying na ilabas na siya noong naka-38 na siya. Pati ba naman 'yun kukunin niya pa sa akin, 'di ba?” Kiefer quipped.

“Nakadalawang championship na nga, dalawang MVP pa. 'Yung 38 na lang saving grace ko eh. Okay lang na masabing pantay,” the NLEX player stated.

“Noong nilabas na siya, natuwa pa ako kesa noong nag-champion sila,” he added.

According to Kiefer, he also encouraged Thirdy to do better in the UAAP Finals.

"I expected something from him in the Finals. I said 'You didn't give good numbers and that's what people expect you to do so you better perform during the finals.' Not to put any pressure on him, but that boy loves the stage, loves to be in the Finals,” he stated.

“He got two Finals MVPs, two championships. He's going for a third one just so he can say he can beat me. I'm pretty sure that's his biggest motivation right now,” Kiefer said.

“Now, I'm afraid he's gonna get one in his senior year. I know he won't let anything happen, nothing in his way can stop him. As much as they win, the target's gonna get bigger, especially since all schools are going to get better,” he added.

In another report by KAMI, UP Fighting Maroons player Bright Akhuetie was awarded as the UAAP MVP for Season 81.

Kiefer and Thirdy are the sons of former PBA player and current TNT KaTropa head coach Ferdinand "Bong" Ravena.
