1. Vic Darchinyan

Nonito became an elite boxer when he defeated heralded boxer Vic Darchinyan in the fifth round with one of the most incredible knockouts of all-time. The Filipino Flash defied the odds by beating the much-favored Armenian fighter.

2. Fernando Montiel

The Pinoy prizefighter was slightly favored in this match but nobody thought that he would easily demolish his Mexican foe, as both of them were in the top 10 pound for pound list. It’s a testament to Fernando’s heart that he was able to get up from the wicked left hook but it was all in vain as he received more blows after that.

3. Jorge Arce

Nobody was surprised when Donaire KO’d Jorge Arce, but it is still fascinating to watch a veteran pass the torch to a younger, hungrier and more explosive fighter. The Mexican was knocked down multiple times before the fight was stopped.

4. Hernan Marquez

Donaire dominated every round before finally putting Marquez out of his misery in the eight with a left uppercut.

5. Vic Darchinyan rematch

Donaire’s rematch with Darchinyan was an intense one, as the latter was able to build up a sizeable lead against the Pinoy. However, the Filipino Flash was able to come from behind with a TKO, just one round before the end of the match.

6. Stephon Young

Nonitor Donaire might already be 36 years old but he still has that legendary left hook in his arsenal. His American foe was put to sleep in the sixth round with that left hook. Aside from keeping his WBA Bantamweight belt, the Pinoy boxer was also able to advance into the Finals of the World Boxing Super Series Bantmaweight Finals.
