Alyssa Valdez won 3rd MVP award.

Valdez led the Ateneo Lady Eagles to five appearances in the finals, including two championship rings (Season 76-78) before bowing out to La Salle in the recently concluded UAAP women’s volleyball tourney.

Although denied of a perfect exit in her last playing year, the comely and humble Lady Eagle decided to give back to the sport that she loves by holding the said skills camp.

In a report by The Manila Times, Valdez said, “I will be teaching volleyball the whole month of May starting this week. That’s what I really wanted to do.”

“There will be three age classes. For kids, there will be 6-year-old to 12 class, 14-year-old to 18 and the open category. We will be going to different places like Cubao, Cainta, Dasmarinas, Batangas and Calamba, Laguna. Different coaches and players will also be there,” she added.

The summer camp runs from May 5 to 22.

The most outstanding players from each leg will have a chance to play against Valdez and other players in an exhibition game on May 22.

Aside from Valdez, teammates Amy Ahomiro, Jhoanna Maraguinot, and Bea De Leon will act as camp coaches. La Salle’s Kim Fajardo, Adamson’s Mylene Paat, UE’s Shaya Adorador, San Sebastian’s Gretchel Soltones, and other players will also be present in the training camps.

The Alyssa Valdez Skills Camp is supported by PLDT HOME Ultera and CrossCourt PH.
