Gilas Pilipinas made headlines last night after getting into a brawl with the national team of Australia in a basketball game at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
KAMI learned that one of the Gilas players, Terrence Romeo, took to Twitter to slam his fellow Pinoy basketball players who felt embarrassed by the all-out brawl.
Many netizens who posted in the comments section of Fashion Pulis bashed the Gilas player for his viral tweets:
“Awwww nahiya kpa. Sana tinag mo na si Jimmy Alapag. Oo kayo nga pinatatamaan nya sa tweet nya!”
“What a mindset! Shame on you!!!”
The brawl occurred during the third quarter of the game, when Australia was leading by 31 points.
When Australia’s Daniel Kickert had a physical altercation with Roger Pogoy, the other Gilas players tried to defend their teammate.
There are speculations that the Gilas team might be suspended by FIBA due to the unfortunate incident.
