During the interview, Boy Abunda asked Carlos whether he provides financial support to his younger siblings, Eldrew and Eliza Yulo, who are also pursuing gymnastics like him.
“Paano mo sinusuportahan ang mga kapatid mo as athletes, maliban sa emosyonal, do you support them financially?” Boy asked.
Carlos responded candidly, clarifying that while he supports his siblings emotionally, he does not shoulder their competition expenses.

“Sa mga competition po hindi po talaga eh, part po kami ng national team and hindi ko po responsibility to do that.”
He further explained that each of them is on their own path, and it is important for his siblings to experience their journeys independently.
“May iba’t-iba po kaming journey, at ayun po ang gusto kong ipaalam sa kanila na hindi porket na experience ko yung mga bagay na ganon, eh mae-experience din nila.”
The Yulo siblings have all been making names for themselves in gymnastics, with Carlos leading the way after his historic achievements at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he brought pride to the Philippines by winning two gold medals. His success has not only elevated his own career but has also brought attention to his siblings’ journeys in the sport.
Despite his global recognition, Carlos has remained grounded and focused on his role as both an athlete and a brother. His comments suggest that while he is willing to offer guidance and encouragement, he also wants his siblings to develop their own identities and accomplishments in gymnastics.
Chloe San Jose, on the other hand, continues to grow her presence as a digital creator and singer. Although many recognize her as Carlos Yulo’s partner, she has built her own following through her creative content and music. Throughout Carlos’ journey to winning two gold medals in the vault and floor exercise at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Chloe remained a constant source of encouragement and support.
In the same television appearance, Carlos also opened up about his relationship with his parents when asked a deeply personal question by Boy Abunda. He shared that he has already forgiven them and no longer harbors anger or resentment. Carlos added that he made efforts to reconcile but acknowledged that the outcome is not entirely within his control.
During the same interview, Carlos and Chloe discussed family relationships, particularly his bond with his siblings. Chloe revealed that she had been encouraging Carlos to reconnect with them despite earlier tensions. Eventually, the couple confirmed that Carlos has reconciled with his siblings Eldrew and Iza, marking a hopeful step forward in his personal life.
