Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao shared an emotional reunion with longtime trainer Freddie Roach at the famed Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, marking the start of his training camp for his July comeback bout.

Team Pacquiao’s official YouTube channel released a video showing the heartfelt embrace between Pacquiao and Roach, rekindling a partnership that defined much of the Filipino icon’s storied career.

In the video, Pacquiao is seen wrapping his own hands, doing shadow boxing, and working on footwork drills under Roach’s close guidance. Their chemistry was evident as Roach gave instructions with a familiar mix of precision and encouragement, while assistant coach Buboy Fernandez observed and monitored Pacquiao’s form. The session signals the start of preparations for the 46-year-old boxing legend’s highly anticipated world welterweight title match against WBC champion Mario Barrios, 30 —who defeated Yordenis Ugas, the same fighter who handed Pacquiao his last professional loss.

Manny Pacquiao is an eight-division world boxing champion, considered one of the greatest boxers in history. He is married to Jinkee Pacquiao, whom he calls his best friend. Jinkee and the boxing legend have five children – Emmanuel Jr. (Jimuel), Michael Stephen, Mary Divine Grace (Princess), Queen Elizabeth (Queenie), and Israel.

They did not use their celebrity status to get ahead in the line, instead, they patiently waited for their turn. Thereafter, they seated themselves in he middle of the resto and ate their meals. Earlier, Manny Pacquiao revealed in an ambush interview with the media that he already fired his personnel who got involved in a traffic problem with authorities recently. It can be recalled that elements of the DOTr-SAICT flagged down the alleged convoy of the boxing legend and former senator for using the EDSA busway. In a video that subsequently went viral, one can see the vehicle’s occupants drop the name of former Senator Pacquiao as DOTr-SAICT personnel asked for their license and registration.
