The National Basketball Association (NBA) suspends its entire season on Thursday amid coronavirus disease outbreak.

KAMI learned that the decision of NBA came after a Utah Jazz player tested positive for coronavirus.

NBA announced on Twitter that the season has been suspended “until further notice” as they determine the next steps to do regarding the outbreak.

“The NBA announced that a player on the Utah Jazz has preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19,” it read in the statement.

“The NBA is suspending game play following the conclusion of tonight’s schedule of games until further notice. The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic," it added.

As reported by ESPN, some sources claimed that the Utah Jazz player is Rudy Gobert. It has been reported that the result came shortly before the tipoff time for the Jazz-Thunder game.

Meanwhile, CBS Sports reported that during a media conference two days ago, Gobert touched all of the recorders and microphones of the press while on stage before he left the room to mock the disease.

The video went viral amid the reports that he tested positive for coronavirus and NBA suspended the season.
