Coney Reyes pens heartfelt prayer as Vico Sotto takes oath as Pasig mayor for final term

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has formally taken his oath for a third and final term on Monday, June 30.

His celebrity parents, Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes, were present during the oathtaking ceremony that took place at South Drive, Bridgetowne, Barangay Rosario, Pasig City.

The veteran actress later took to social media to share a couple of posts containing photos from the ceremony.

In one of her posts, Coney penned heartfelt prayer as her son begins his last term as the head of a city. She asked the Lord to give her son all he needs to fulfill the mission He has given him in Pasig.

“God bless you, son and grant you everything you would need to accomplish that which He has called you to do in the City of Pasig!” Coney’s short but earnest prayer reads.

Vico Sotto, whose full name is Victor Ma. Regis "Vico" Nubla Sotto, was born June 17, 1989 and is a Filipino politician serving as the mayor of Pasig. He joined the Aksyon Demokratiko party and was elected mayor of Pasig in 2019 and was re-elected in 2022. He was re-elected for his third consecutive term at the 2025 elections. His parents are actor-comedian-host Vic Sotto and actress Coney Reyes, with both of them supporting their son in his political endeavors.

Coney, on the other hand, is a famous Filipino actress and TV host known for her long career in entertainment. Coney raised Vico with strong values and a sense of responsibility. Despite her fame, she is very supportive of her son's public service career. Coney continues to inspire many with her kindness and dedication to her family.
