“Maraming, maraming salamat po,” Gumabao began his message, addressing the people of Partido who welcomed him throughout his campaign. “Sa bawat nakipagkamay, nakipagkwentuhan, at nagbukas ng puso’t tahanan sa amin nitong nakaraang mga buwan—taos-puso po ang aking pasasalamat.”

While he acknowledged the disappointment of not achieving the outcome he had hoped for, Gumabao said he takes comfort in knowing that he gave his all. “Hindi man ito ang resulta na aming hinangad, alam kong ibinigay natin ang lahat, at buong puso tayong lumaban.”

He extended his thanks to everyone who voted, supported, and believed in his vision. “Sa lahat ng bumoto, sumuporta, tumulong, at naniwala—salamat po sa pagtanggap sa amin, sa inyong tiwala, at sa pagmamahal na ipinakita ninyo sa bawat sulok ng Partido.”

Calling it a victory in itself to have met and listened to so many people, he reflected: “Ang dami kong natutunan at nadama, at hinding-hindi ko po makakalimutan ang bawat kwento at pangarap na ibinahagi ninyo sa akin.”

Gumabao assured his supporters that this was not the end of his service to the community. “Hindi ito ang katapusan. Nandito lang ako. Hindi ko kayo iiwanan,” he wrote, promising to continue working for the people regardless of position. “Ang serbisyo at malasakit, hindi lang nasusukat sa puwesto.”

He concluded his message with a hopeful note: “Magkikita pa rin tayo, at magtutulungan pa rin tayo—dahil ang tunay na laban ay para sa inyo. Maraming salamat, Partido.”
