Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez’s wife, Nikki Benitez, has recently addressed the rumors that she and the businessman-politician have parted ways.

In a press release sent by Victorias City Mayor Javi Benitez to the media, Nikki denied separation talks between her and her husband. Her statement came after reports suggesting Albee’s romantic links with a vlogger and several actresses surfaced.
“In light of the recent article and its distressing contents, I wish to clarify that there have been no discussions between my husband and me regarding separation or annulment. The quotes attributed to him in the media, suggesting romantic links with a vlogger and several actresses, came as a surprise and are a matter we will address privately.”

Nikki then underscored that she and Mayor Albee have been living together for 31 years and maintaining their family’s unity.
“Despite these reports, we have been living under one roof for 31 years, maintaining our family’s unity as we work through this.”
“My commitment to handling our personal matters with dignity and respect remains unchanged. I am especially focused on shielding our children from any pain or anguish brought about by this matter,” she added.
Mayor Alfredo Abelardo "Albee" Bantug Benitez currently sits as the Bacolod City's local chief executive after he won in the 2022 local elections. Before running for Bacolod city mayor, he served for three consecutive terms as the representative of the 3rd District of Negros Occidental. He was once touted as the richest congressman in the Philippines and is the owner of Brightlight Productions, producer of Lunch Out Loud.

Mayor Albee Benitez of Bacolod City himself shared the video of the incident on his own official page. The local chief executive then paid tribute to the brave citizen, telling his constituents that his courageous action should be emulated by all.
A few years ago, Mayor Albee received an apology through a social media post from veteran showbiz columnist Lolit Solis after she called him out and asked him to stop producing the TV5 noontime program, “Lunch Out Loud.” Manay Lolit spoke against the show after LOL host Jeffrey Tam got badly injured due to a prank that his co-host Billy Crawford pulled on him.
