Cavite 1st District Representative Ramon “Jolo” Revilla III took to social media on Monday, April 13, to pen a heartfelt tribute to his mother, Cavite 2nd District Representative Lani Mercado-Revilla, in celebration of her birthday.

In a Facebook post, Jolo expressed gratitude on behalf of his family and the people of Bacoor for Lani’s leadership and continued public service. He opened his message with a warm greeting for the veteran lawmaker.

“Happy Birthday, Mama Lani M. Revilla! We are truly blessed to have you, and so are your constituents in Bacoor—who cherish you just as much,” Jolo wrote.

Jolo Revilla is the son of Bong Revilla Jr. and Lani Mercado. Prior to being a politician he used to be an actor and appeared in some movies and TV shows such as 'Si Agimat, si Enteng Kabisote at si Ako' and 'Bertud ng Putik'.

Last January, Jolo Revilla issued a statement after his father, Bong Revilla Jr., voluntarily surrendered to authorities following an arrest warrant tied to an alleged ghost flood control project. Jolo said his father’s decision to surrender was a deliberate move to face the accusations directly and demonstrate trust in the legal system. He acknowledged that the situation was difficult for their family but emphasized the importance of due process, accountability, and fairness. He also appealed to the public and media to allow the justice system to proceed without undue pressure, while thanking supporters who continue to believe the truth will come out.
