A man died after allegedly jumping from a second-floor window while trying to escape a police Oplan Galugad operation in Taguig. The incident occurred during an anti-criminality patrol conducted by officers from Taguig Police Station 9 in Barangay New Lower Bicutan.

Authorities said they encountered the man and four companions who were allegedly using illegal substances at the time.

Police reported recovering five sachets of suspected shabu weighing around four grams, with an estimated value of more than ₱27,000. The man was rushed to a hospital but later died from injuries sustained in the fall.

One of the suspects admitted to using illegal substances, while the others declined to give statements.

"Bigla akong tumakbo kasi sir," said one suspect.

He added that he noticed someone running before hearing a loud sound from the side of the house.

"Biktima lang kami ng droga eh," he said.

Police from Taguig Police Station 9 have yet to release a detailed statement regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, in Parañaque, two men were arrested after authorities recovered 30 grams of suspected shabu.

One of the suspects denied knowledge of the substances found in the residence.

"Sa bahay ito ng tito ko," the suspect said.

He added that everything happened quickly and he did not understand what was going on.

In a separate operation along Tramo Street in Pasay, more than 100 individuals were apprehended for alleged violations of local ordinances. Thirty-one were reportedly seen without shirts in public areas, while 40 minors were cited for curfew violations.

Authorities also found several people drinking alcohol and smoking in public places. Three individuals with existing arrest warrants were also discovered during the operation.

You know the gas…" Soobin reportedly attempted to calmly discuss the situation, resulting in a brief exchange between the two. After some negotiation, the driver eventually agreed to honor the original ₱500 amount. Soobin admitted the incident was frustrating, though he expressed relief that it ended without further issues. The experience sparked discussions online about fare transparency, with many netizens sharing similar encounters. Social media users also highlighted the importance of awareness among both drivers and passengers, emphasizing the need for fair and honest practices in the transportation industry.

Meanwhile, a comparable case surfaced in Davao, where a taxi driver was accused of overcharging a passenger. A viral post showed a fare reaching nearly ₱3,000 for a short 12-kilometer trip. The driver later apologized, explaining that he had misread the money handed to him. Authorities from LTFRB-11 have since launched an investigation into the incident, noting that penalties may be imposed if overcharging is confirmed.
