Security footage from the area captured the moments leading up to the tragedy, showing a group engaged in a verbal altercation that quickly spiraled out of control.

Witnesses described a chaotic scene where blunt objects and sharp instruments were used as the argument turned physical.

The fatalities from one family were identified as Johnny Sr., 67, and his two sons, Joven and Johnny Jr.

Investigators noted that the elder Johnny may have been an innocent bystander who was simply attempting to pacify his children and de-escalate the situation before being caught in the fray.

From the opposing side, 33-year-old Tyrone also succumbed to his injuries, while his brothers, Gilbert and Glenn Mark, survived the encounter but sustained significant wounds.

The root cause of the violence is currently the subject of an intense police investigation. Initial findings suggest that Johnny Jr. was seeking to recover ₱1,500 that had been paid to an associate of the opposing family.

When the transaction did not go as planned, the demand for a refund led to the fatal confrontation with Tyrone and his siblings.
