A 53-year-old male teacher was shot dead by two suspects on a motorcycle in Rosales, Pangasinan. The incident happened on Tuesday in Barangay Carmay East while the victim was heading home, reports Jewel Fernandez of GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon.

Police said the victim was riding his motorcycle back from Sta. Maria when the suspects allegedly followed him.

"The victim was targeted while on his way home," says the local police chief, emphasizing the apparent planning behind the attack.

Authorities confirmed that the teacher did not survive the shooting and was declared dead at the hospital.

"Despite immediate medical attention, he could not be saved," adds the police report.

In a related development, the Bacoor Component City Police have identified the man seen in a viral video attempting to open a vehicle as Joel Viola Matados, a resident of General Trias who reportedly has a medical condition. According to his family, Matados had left home earlier and appeared disoriented at the time of the incident. Motorist Lorie Sy recalled a tense moment on the road, saying, “I stayed locked inside my car while he repeatedly pulled on my door handle in the middle of traffic.” Authorities are urging the public to report any sightings immediately so that Matados can be located and provided with proper medical care.
