A tragic accident in Talisay City, Cebu claimed the life of a one-year-old girl after she was accidentally dropped by her mother, who was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle driven by her father.

According to GMA News Unang Balita, the family was traveling along Barangay Lagtang on Monday when the motorcycle suddenly swerved, causing the mother to lose grip of the child.
The child fell into the path of a nearby dump truck, which ran over her. She was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival due to severe head injuries.

Authorities reported that the truck driver voluntarily surrendered and explained that he did not see the motorcycle. He expressed regret and apologized to the child’s parents.
